ZEN’s latest effort is Project Tiošpáye, a collaboration between ASES and Red Cloud Renewable at the Oglala Lakota Reservation in Pine Ridge South Dakota.  Tiošpáye in Lakota means home and security in the biggest sense, intergenerational compound living, sharing of resources, caring for all members and for the land.  This project will be putting solar on beautiful new dome homes for community members, bringing greater sustainability, resiliency, and energy sovereignty to Lakota people.

We plan to provide solar systems for electricity, solar stills for water purification, solar pumps for gardening, and even a few solar refrigerators.

Details on this project were featured in New Energy World magazine and also in a recent interview with Nick Forster on Boulder’s own E-Town where we got to share the stage with Sam Weber and Leslie Feist.
