ASES Legacy Fund

ASES has a Legacy Fund for bequests and contributions to ensure the longevity of our work. There is no minimum bequest; large or small donations are welcome. 

 To help us serve this vital work supporting clean energy, we hope that you would consider creating a planned giving bequest.

Please consider adding us to your will to preserve your legacy. Below is sample language to include. You have the flexibility to change your will at your discretion, or in the event that life circumstances change.

Sample Language: I give __________ (dollar amount or % of estate) to the American Solar Energy Society, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, with its principal offices located at 2525 Arapahoe Ave. Ste. E4-253, Boulder, CO 80302 Tax ID # 59-1768923. This gift should be used for (General Fund, Solar Today, etc).

A contingent bequest: If (insert name) is not living at the time of my demise, I bequeath to American Solar Energy Society, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, with its principal offices located at 2525 Arapahoe Ave. Ste. E4-253, Boulder, CO 80302, the sum of $ _______ (or all or a percentage of the residue of my estate) to be used for its general support and/or for the support of its mission in the state of: ____________, and/or for a specific program: ________________________. Tax ID # 59-1768923.  

Real estate – I instruct my executor to sell the property owned by me and located at [address/description of property, lot number, etc.]. The net proceeds from this sale should be donated to American Solar Energy Society, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, with its principal offices located at 2525 Arapahoe Ave. Ste. E4-253, Boulder, CO 80302 Tax ID # 59-1768923. This gift should be used for (General Fund, Solar Today, etc).

It is also very simple to name ASES as a beneficiary of your 401K, IRA, life insurance policy, etc. Start by requesting a change-of-beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider’s website. Make your desired changes and return the form to establish your gift.
