SOLAR 2025 Call for Participation

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is excited to be hosting the SOLAR 2025 Conference in Boulder, Colorado on August 4-6, 2025. The Conference theme is Innovation for Universal Renewable Energy Access. ASES looks forward to a dynamic and inspiring program covering the important topics of innovative practices and solutions leading to a carbon-free, just, and equitable renewable energy transformation in the U.S. and around the world.

The Call for Participation in the Technical Program for SOLAR 2025 is now open. We invite you to submit an extended abstract summarizing your ongoing or recent work related to innovation in the energy transformation and how it can support universal renewable energy access. This can include work on solar energy technologies, storage technologies, grid reliability and flexibility, workforce development, building energy technologies, community programs, a just energy transformation, policy, finance, etc.

Your extended abstract should be a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 600 words, and can include one figure and/or table and references related to the extended abstract’s content (around 1-2 pages). If you receive any feedback from the conference Technical Review Committee (TRC) on your accepted extended abstract, you will have the opportunity to address this feedback prior to the publication of your extended abstract online.  In addition, if your extended abstract is accepted, you will be invited to submit a full paper to the conference proceedings, which will be published shortly after the conference.

All extended abstracts will be reviewed by the TRC, which will also be responsible for putting together the Technical Program. For SOLAR 2025, the Technical Program will consist largely of poster presentations, with authors having ample opportunity to discuss their work with the attendees throughout the entire conference. The TRC will also select a small number of extended abstracts for oral presentations.
