Lloyd Named COO at QuickMount PV

Walnut Creek, CA, March 18, 2014 – Quick Mount PV, the leading manufacturer of roof mounting systems for the solar industry, today announced the appointment of Ron Lloyd as Chief Operating Officer. Lloyd has more than 25 years of achievement in executive positions in technology companies including Sun Microsystems, Tesla Motors, and Fat Spaniel Technologies.

“Ron brings a wealth of operational experience to Quick Mount PV,” said Claudia Wentworth, Quick Mount PV’s CEO, “Turning over company operations to him allows me to focus on long-term strategic direction and on promoting the solar industry. I’m thrilled to have Ron on board in such a vital role.”

Prior to Quick Mount PV, Lloyd was a principal at Sage Advice Partners, a management consulting firm specializing in operational and product development strategies. Lloyd’s experience includes tenures as COO of Fat Spaniel Technologies, VP of Tesla Motors’ WhiteStar Program, VP of Worldwide Manufacturing for Sun Microsystems, and Process Engineering Manager for Hewlett Packard. Lloyd also served for six years on the board of Grid Alternatives – the largest solar non-profit in the US.

Ron Lloyd holds a BSE from Harvey Mudd College and an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.
