We expect that our business members follow the guidelines below. Please note that ASES supports good business practices and does not advocate for any particular business.
ASES Business Members shall:
- Support the mission and goals of ASES.
- Treat its staff, members, contractors, and the general public with respect, honesty, fairness, and justice.
- Not discriminate against any individual based on gender, sexual preference, creed, religion, age, race, or national affiliation.
- Be honest and accurate in all communications.
- Treat consumers in a professional and timely manner.
- Release truthful and accurate information on behalf of the business.
- Take part in sustainable business practices such as reducing paper use, conserving electricity and water, or developing a recycling program.
Additionally, ASES Business Members involved in solar installations shall:
- Ensure that solar system installations meet applicable local, state, and national codes.
- Offer understandable warranties that comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure that a user manual with comprehensive, as-built information is provided with all installations.
- Accurately and honestly represent any financing mechanism in any transaction to be highly transparent and forthright regarding its terms and financial estimates.
