The largest grassroots solar, renewable energy and sustainable living event in the nation.

For 25 years, ASES has organized and delivered the largest grassroots solar event in the U.S., the National Solar Tour. In light of COVID-19, last year’s National Solar Tour was all virtual. The tour was extended to fit in virtual events beginning on September 28 running through the official weekend, October 3 and 4.

2020 National Solar Tour week showcased live programming focusing on electric vehicles, schools, homes, businesses, and community building through solar along with virtual tours of solar and sustainable homes, businesses, schools, religious institutions, and more. The Tour featured 44 Local Solar Tours, 284 video tours and 177 photo tours across 47 states, the US Virgin Islands, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.  These events and tours have empowered people to learn about solar technology and the process of going solar from their neighbors and people nationwide, all from the safety of their homes.

“Sustainable living is not only good for the planet, it’s good for our wallets. The National Solar Tour offers families an opportunity to have meaningful conversations with friends and neighbors who’re reaping the benefits of renewable energy and energy efficiency each and every day. It’s a great way to get an up-close and personal perspective on how easy it can be to live the green life – and how rewarding.”
