The tour was extended to fit in virtual events beginning on September 28 running through the official weekend, October 3 and 4. Local Solar Tour and Open House content will be available to view for the remainder of the year on nationalsolartour.org

2020 National Solar Tour week showcased live programming focusing on electric vehicles, schools, homes, businesses, and community building through solar along with virtual tours of solar and sustainable homes, businesses, schools, religious institutions, and more. Along with 44 Local Solar Tour, 284 video tours and 177 photo tours across 47 states, the US Virgin Islands, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.  These events and tours will empower people to learn about solar technology and the process of going solar from their neighbors and people nationwide, all from the safety of their homes.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 25th annual National Solar Tour by hosting a Local Solar Tour, Open House, programming or attending. We encourage you to share your feedback with us through these surveys:

We partnered with Solar United Neighbors again in organizing the 2020 National Solar Tour. Solar United Neighbors helps people go solar, join together, and fight for their energy rights. Together, ASES and Solar United Neighbors are working to organize the largest national solar tour in history.

“Sustainable living is not only good for the planet, it’s good for our wallets. The National Solar Tour offers families an opportunity to have meaningful conversations with friends and neighbors who’re reaping the benefits of renewable energy and energy efficiency each and every day. It’s a great way to get an up-close and personal perspective on how easy it can be to live the green life – and how rewarding.”
