SOLAR TODAY just earned the Gold Award from the Society of National Association Publications. This first place award recognized SOLAR TODAY’s special issue on climate change. Known as the voice of the renewable energy community, SOLAR TODAY is produced by the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), a national membership organization dedicated to attaining a sustainable U.S. energy economy. “It's a special honor for SOLAR TODAY to be recognized by our peers in the association publishing field,” said SOLAR TODAY Editor Regina Johnson. “We're proud of the exceptional ASES members who distinguish the magazine through the leading research, expertise, and authority they bring to our pages." Judges chose SOLAR TODAY from among 1,000 award entrants competing in various EXCEL Award categories. The EXCEL Awards is an annual competition that recognizes and rewards the exemplary work of association publishers (http://snaponline.org). Winners were announced during an awards gala held on June 14. The issue that helped SOLAR TODAY earn its latest recognition addressed the theme “Confronting the Climate Change Crisis: Why renewable energy and efficiency will play major roles in addressing global warming.” ABOUT SOLAR TODAY: |
