VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTION – MEMBER SERVICES ASSISTANT

Founded in 1954, the American Solar Energy Society is leading the renewable energy revolution. This volunteer position is based in Boulder, Colorado.


VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTION:
In this role you will provide professional customer service to our valued members. The Membership Department will rely on your attention to detail and proven data entry skills to keep our records organized and up to date. You will also provide critical fulfillment duties so that we can provide prompt service to our members. Other responsibilities include telephone and email support in responding to member and non-member inquiries. You will report to the Membership Services Manager.


PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
•    Support the membership activities of ASES, including data entry, fulfillment requests, information referrals,
•    Assemble and send out new member welcome kits
•    Assists with customer service oriented inquiries (via phone, email, mail)
•    Telephone members who have not renewed their membership
•    Administrative support for the Membership Services Department
•    Other duties as assigned by the Membership Services Manager

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

•    High school diploma or equivalent experience
•    Familiar with standard office procedures: filing, telephone techniques and operation of office equipment.
•    Must possess high level of accuracy and attention to detail and deadlines.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and previous experience working with a database preferred.
