Propose an Article
SOLAR TODAY is an award-winning magazine covering renewable energy technologies across the board, from photovoltaics and climate-responsive buildings to wind power and green building products. Every other month, we publish articles for a diverse audience, including scientists, researchers, renewable energy equipment installers, architects, builders and developers, and homeowners who are interested in learning more about renewable energy.
To propose an article for possible publication in SOLAR TODAY, please submit a detailed outline summarizing your proposal and explain briefly how your story will benefit the readers. Articles should offer objective analysis and cite specific examples. Detail what you plan to discuss, as well as supporting sources and research. Please describe what high-resolution photography you can offer to accompany your story. We value contrary opinions.

Submit a Photo
Images for consideration in articles must meet the following specifications. Digital images are preferred.
• Must be clear, well-composed color images, submitted in a graphic format (eps, tif, jpg). DO NOT embed images in the text file.
• Must be AT LEAST 300 dpi at the size the images will run in the magazine. We prefer a minimum size of 4 by 6 inches.
• For feature articles, we prefer to have at least one image that is larger (for the lead), with resolution at least 300 dpi at a size approximately 6.5 by 10 inches.
Deadlines
We must receive article proposals/news releases at least 10 weeks before the publication date. For this reason, we strongly advise authors to contact the editors well ahead of publication to discuss article proposals.
