For questions contact Mike Swinburne at mswinburne@awea.org.

b) CALL FOR SMALL-WIND PHOTOS

AWEA invites you or your company to submit photos for the 2008 AWEA wind energy calendar so we have a thorough representation of the entire wind industry. The calendar is one of our most visible and popular publications; it is distributed widely within and outside the industry, and sold on our online store.  We are also currently building a small wind turbine photo library to increase the visibility of our industry.  With your permission, we would like to use your photos in other AWEA publications, such as WINDPOWER brochures, on our web site, and for outreach purposes. The form asks if you would permit AWEA to use your photos in other materials besides the calendar. There will be different levels of access, and you can select on the submission form how you will allow your photo to be used. You can also indicate that your photo can only be used for the calendar, if you wish.

Please submit your photos here: http://www.awea.org/photoupload/

We are looking for a wide range of photos—beauty shots of wind turbines of course, but also photos of different phases and aspects of the industry (manufacturing, wind forecasting and monitoring, transportation, tourists or schoolchildren visiting installation sites, etc.) and of people at work in the industry (maintenance at top of a wind turbine, for example). We would also especially welcome photos of turbines that have been installed since 2005.

We have launched a webpage to make it easy to submit your photos. (Please go to http://www.awea.org/photoupload/) Most importantly, the submission form asks for both the name of the person to contact for further photo information, and for the person or company who will get the photo credit.

For questions, contact Mike Wiener at phots@awea.org.
